The Plan

Electric guitar, double bass, drums and soprano saxophone are nicely meeting in the Asura quartet. Deeply inspired by nature and large landscapes, the ASURA quartet is an ode to time, an invitation to contemplation, a deeply emotions search. The band extols a sensitive music, pacified, turbulent, smooth and coarse at the same time. Fixed into the new wave of Jazz, Asura purposes a post-bop, free and progressive rock subtile mix, never losing his plot : improvisation in the service of the present moment. 

Rewards

Winner of the 11th edition of the Action Jazz contest, Asura won 1st board's prize at the end of their live performance on the Rocher de Palmer stage. They afterwards had the opportunity to figure among the different finalists of the Rezzo Contest at Jazz à Vienne 2024. 

Martin Arnoux, leader

Martin Arnoux is a guitarist from the Nouvelle Aquitaine french region. He made his debut to the classical guitar during his youth. Passionate by Rock and Blues, he naturally looks to electric guitar. He gets the MIMA and Jazz DEM at the Bordeaux Conservatory. From 2022, he moves on Paris to finish his musical studies at the PSPBB. Martin is a skilfull and curious guitarist, blossoming in diverses musical styles. Her performs regularly on Paris and everywhere in France.
